WP0 is Porsche's sports car WMI — 911, 718, Taycan and Panamera — while WP1 is reserved for SUVs, meaning the Cayenne and Macan. That single-character difference is the fastest way to sort a Porsche VIN into car or SUV before you decode anything else. The Cayenne has been assembled in Bratislava, Slovakia despite the German WMI.
