Reading a Dodge VIN
Dodge's WMI history is messy because of the Chrysler-Fiat-Stellantis reorganisations. Older cars use 1B3 or 2B3, trucks used 1D7 and 3D7, and current Stellantis-era vehicles land in the 1C6 / 2C4 / 3C6 blocks shared with Chrysler, Jeep and Ram. The Charger and Challenger are Canadian-built at Brampton, so a leading 2 is normal on a modern Dodge muscle car.
